Jeff Duartê is a Brazilian-born makeup artist and creative director whose merges theatrical sensibility with contemporary fashion and beauty. Born in Governador Valadares, Minas Gerais, Brazil, Jeff’s artistic foundation began in theater, where he trained formally in 2001 and spent over a decade working as an actor and cultural producer with collaborating Brazilian cultural institutions, including Centro Cultural Usiminas, Governo do Estado de Minas Gerais, Caixa Cultural, and many theatrical companies.

He holds a degree in Advertising and Communications and later pursued advanced studies in MBA Digital Marketing and Research Languages, publishing academic research focused on communication and visual expression. This multidisciplinary background informs his refined eye for composition, narrative, and identity-driven beauty.

In fact, Jeff began his professional career in makeup in 2016 under the mentorship of renowned Brazilian artist Jô Martins in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, where he developed technical precision and backstage expertise.

His editorial collaborations include Brazilian fashion photographers Weber de Padua and Marcio Rodrigues, and he has contributed to major fashion backstages, fashion brands, High-End Labels, Apparel Stores' lookbooks, and Designer Labels.

After relocating to the United States in 2019, his practice expanded through direct access to global beauty houses. Joining Sephora in 2023 further sharpened his product fluency, allowing continuous experimentation with emerging formulas and industry innovation.
